sasmgr intro and commands, LSI raid Controller in bl860x,rx6660,2660,etc

We delete the current raid, so we can start from Zero:

root@rx6600:/> sasmgr delete -D /dev/sasd0 -q raid -q raid_vol=5

WARNING: This is a DESTRUCTIVE operation.
This might result in failure of current I/O requests.

RAID Volume 5 deleted successfully.

So now we have this physical drives:

root@rx6600:/>
root@rx6600:/> sasmgr get_info -N -D /dev/sasd0 -q raid

---------- PHYSICAL DRIVES ----------
LUN dsf SAS Address Enclosure Bay Size(MB)

/dev/rdisk/disk14 0x500000e0137cc8f2 1 3 70007
/dev/rdisk/disk15 0x5000c50000d430f1 1 5 70007
/dev/rdisk/disk16 0x5000c50000d4d325 1 4 70007
/dev/rdisk/disk8 0x500000e0191c6932 1 1 70007
/dev/rdisk/disk9 0x500000e019231e22 1 2 70007

But we have to check, if we allready have some drives in use, out of the raid:

root@rx6600:/> strings /etc/lvmtab
/dev/vg00
/dev/disk/disk8_p2
/dev/disk/disk9_p2
/dev/vgvmdisk
/dev/disk/disk15

here we can see, that we only have 2 free disks 16 and 14. so we are going to create a raid 1:

We first get the enclosure and bay of the disks we want to use, in our case 1,3 and 1,4

root@rx6600:/> sasmgr get_info -N -D /dev/sasd0 -q lun=all -q lun_locate
/dev/rdisk/disk14 0/4/1/0.0x500000e0137cc8f2.0x0 1 3 OFF
/dev/rdisk/disk15 0/4/1/0.0x5000c50000d430f1.0x0 1 5 OFF
/dev/rdisk/disk16 0/4/1/0.0x5000c50000d4d325.0x0 1 4 OFF
/dev/rdisk/disk8 0/4/1/0.0x500000e0191c6932.0x0 1 1 OFF
/dev/rdisk/disk9 0/4/1/0.0x500000e019231e22.0x0 1 2 OFF

root@rx6600:/> sasmgr add -D /dev/sasd0 -q raid -q level=1 -q enc_bay=1:3,1:4

WARNING: If the disks are of different size,
then the remaining disk space of the larger disk
will be wasted and the volume cannot be expanded.

WARNING: Make sure that the disks are not being
used for BOOT, SWAP, DUMP, LVM, VxVM or any other
purpose.

This operation will overwrite the data on the disks.

Do you want to continue ?(y/n) [n]...

WARNING: This operation may take a few seconds.

RAID Volume is created successfully.

We check the rebuild process:

root@rx6600:/> sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd0 -q raid
