I got and email from a fellow admin with this doc, could be usefull I though I would post it:

Step 1.
Boot to the EFI Boot Manager Menu.

To navigate the menus :
Use the arrow keys or the letter 'v' and 'shift 6'
Press Esc key or x | X to exit a menu

Step 5.

To select the serial console chose :
Acpi(HWP0002,0)/Pci(1|1)/Uart(9600 N81)/VenMsg(Vt100+)

* NOTE * This example is for an rx4640, the hardware paths will differ depending
on the hardware platform.
Some systems have multiple serial ports available depending on the Management
Port (MP) card.
Select the device that has vt100+ in the description, do not assume that the
first device is the correct one.

For rx2600 series / zx6000s :

The internal Serial Port A (Console) is presented as :

Acpi(PNP0501,0)/Uart(9600 N81)/VenMsg(Vt100+)

The Serial Console port of the MP processor card and is labeled Console on the
(A6144-63001)
three connector - 9 pin - (usually black) cable:

Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(1|1)/Uart(9600 N81)/VenMsg(Vt100+)

For VGA / USB keyboard/mouse on the rx4640 :

Acpi(HWP0002,0)/Pci(4|0)

On rx2600 series

The MP onboard VGA port is shown as:
* Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(2|0)

On zx6000 series

The optional graphics card in this example is:
* Acpi(HWP0003,400)/Pci(0|0)

Step 6.

IMPORTANT :
Repeat the above step 5 EACH TIME for ' Output Console ' and ' Standard Error
Console '.

* NOTE * If the VGA is selected as the only output device accessing the console
remotely via MP telnet
can result in a blank display when selecting ' CO ' to view the console.

*** NOTE *** - if selecting BOTH serial and VGA consoles, CDE graphics will not
start on the console.
At the time this document was written, ONLY VGA must be selected for CDE
graphics to display on the console.

Step 7.
Save changes to nvram when / if prompted.

Step 8.

REBOOT / Reset the system as console redirection changes do not take effect
